Ethereum uses K ECCAK -25 6 instead of the standardized NIST SHA-3 .
The results produced by K ECCAK -25 6 are identical to SHA-3 .
Mining involves the following steps:
Hardware setup
On your system download geth
U nzip geth
On your system start the command prompt
cd to root directory
U sing geth account new, create a geth account
Press the enter button and when asked to enter a password, create the
password
U sing geth—
rpc connect to Ethereum
Download and install the mining software
Go to the root directory—
start the command prompt
Navigate to Etherminer directory
cd into Ethereum folder
cd into release folder
Set up your Ethereum wallet
GPU mining—
ethminer—
G 17 CPU mining ethminer
The block structure
The header that is consisted of a block, and the information contained in it
is identified in the block as also it is linked to the rest of the chain, together
with a body of transactions is included in the block structure.
